It's my BIRTHDAY!!

Hello,
.
Wooohoooo!! Today is my 39th birthday!! Though from here on out, it will always be my 39th birthday!! LOLI so totally loved what I got for my birthday from my family!!
.
I got a lap table with pockets to use when I am wanting to stamp in front of the TV, tickets to go to see WICKED with the family, an awesome frame that is an awesome inspiration for a card I am going to make, bling-bling for my cell phone from my oldest, ribbon from the little one, a gift card for Hobby Lobby from our nanny, and from my hubby, a 120ct box of Prismacolors!!! Totally AWESOME birthday!!
.
As for my card, it is for today's SCS Color Challenge 202 where we were to use Regal Rose, Kiwi Kiss, and Bravo Burgundy. It is also for Viva la Verve's January Sketch Challange Week 3 with the twist of using pink.
.
The cool thing about my card is the Regal Rose colored paper. It is actually the envelope my nanny gave me with my b-day card. It was so awesome I had to use it on my card!! It is a mulbery type paper and how ironic it matched Regal Rose perfectly!!!
.
My mother is coming to see me from Texas for a week starting Saturday!! I am so excited to see her!! She is going to going shopping with me and help me decorate my new house!! On the 28th, she will be turning 60. I have made this card for her!!

Why hello there everyone,
.
I took a break from cleaning the other house. Actually it is all packed up, but I am not allowed to mave any of the boxes due to my neck problems. I have to wait until DH is available to lift up all the boxes and he is not off work until next week.
.
So, in the mean time, after I did my workout this morning, I stamped!!!!
.
My pic has 2 challenges in it, but they both go together.
.
First is my box. It is SCS Monday's Technique Challenge 203 - Origami Box. I actually started making this Monday, but was unable to finish it. I had hoped Thursday's challenge would work with it so I could finish it. Well, it did. This is for Thursday's Way to Use It Challenge 201 where we were to pick a color combo from this site Kuler I chose the Elan color combo.
.
Second is my card. It is for today's SCS Limited Supplies Challenge 203 where we were to make a Valentine card that you could easily replicate 30 times. We could only use pinks, reds, white, black or kraft (no browns, grays or purples allowed!). Next, we had to limit the amount of layers and embellishments. Another limitation was that your creation should be a “postcard” type of card . . . meaning no fold!
.
I have made these for my youngest DH's teacher for Valentine's day!! Inside the box is hand made filler and Hershey's Creamy Milk Chocolate Hearts. and boy are they creamy!! I cheated on my diet because I had to try one out, but I did only have ONE!!! LOL

Why hello there everyone,

I have been busy cleaning out the old house getting it ready for renters so I have not been able to stamp this week yet.

I made this card Sunday night, but because I can't get a good pic of my cards at night in the new house, I wasn't able to upload it. Well, I finally was able to get a good pic of it today so here I am uploading it!!

This is for Viva la Verve's Week 1 Sketch Challenge with a twist and for High Hopes Challenge #13 where we were to incorporate dry embossing into our creations.

I used High Hopes Stamps stamps for my images. I colored my main image with PrismaColors and Mineral Spirits. I dry embossed the red panel with a Cuttlebug embossing folder then went over it with ink to make it stand out.

The Viva la Verve twist was to use hardware. Brads were considered hardware. I used many gold brads to go along the the gold in the treasure box.

Now, back to cleaning the other house!!

As for the card, what do y'all think?

Hello,
.
This is for today's SCS Featured Stamper Challenge 101 featureing JayDeKay. I ended up cheating. I didn't really realize until after I made my card I had CASEd a CASE. This is the one I found my inspiration from...JayDeKay's card
.
I kept her Easter theme, but change the stamps.
I ended up taking away a layer because my main image just took to much room.
I stamped a BG with my carrot image.
I colored my image with PrismaColors and Mineral Spirits.
I also placed my ribbon just a little differently.
.
My images are from High Hopes Stamps.
My flowers came from their fence stamp. I colored just the flowers with my black SU! Marker and stamped them where I wanted them.
.
I liked how it turned out!!

Hello there,
.
Well, I had this made around noon time, but go figure, right as I went to upload it, our internet went out. Don't you hate it when that happens? It finally came back on and now I got to upload it.
.
Last year I did the Christmas Card Challenge on SCS. We could make whatever hoiliday cards we wanted. I chose to make Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. The goal was to make 10 cards each month so by the time the holiday rolled around you already had your cards made. All you had to do was address and mail them. This was totally awesome. Definitely took the stress out around the holidays. This year I joined the CCC again. Only this time they only want Christmas cards. I am still keeping with last year and I am going to make my Halloween and Thanksgiving also.
.
With this in mind, this is for today's SCS Inspiration Challenge 162 - Tenugue. I found this Tenugue Halloween for my inspiration.
.
I will be making 20 of these. 10 for myself and 10 for my card business.

Hey there,
.
This is for several challenges. I was introduced to the blog The Daily Dare by my dear friend Deb (debdeb on SCS). It has a list of different blog challenges for everyday. It is so awesome. I check it every day. I chose 2 challenges from there for today's card.
.
One was from Stamping Vacation. I chose the sentiment of 'I put my HEART in it' from the Scarcely Sentiments Challenge.
.
The second one is from Viva la Verve Week 2 Sketch Challenge with the twist of using bling.
.
And of course, this is also for today's SCS Limited Supplies Challenge 202 where everything we used was to included hearts and/or the color red.I used the Negative Effect on my heart folder with the cuttlebug. I stamped my bg heart with glue and then gilttered them for added bling along with the heart in the center of the bow and the rhinestone in the center of the flower on the heart. And I paper pieced my main image.

Hello there,

Monday, I was so busy with trying to get life back to rountine I wasn't able to stamp, but I did look at the challenge and had an idea in mind that I wanted to do. I knew Tuesday's Color Challenge probably wouldn't be the color I wanted to use so I told myself to be patient and maybe Wednesday's Sketch Challenge would fit what I wanted to do.

And I be dogged if it didn't!!!

This is for Monday's Technique Challenge 202 where we were to use Red Line Tacky Tape and Glitter to make a BG. I chose green and gold to go with the St. Paddy's Day theme.

This is also for today's Sketch Challenge 210 that I love because it fit what I want to do!!My image is from High Hopes Stamps and is colored with SU! Markers, cut out, and popped up on demensionals.

What do y'all think??

I started working out on Monday with walking 2 1/2 miles around my neighborhood with my good friend, Christine. We wanted to workout in my community gym, but it was locked. So we chose to walk. Yesterday, the gym was finally unlocked and we got to exercise there for the first time. Christine is my massage therapist so she showed me what exercises I needed to do to help me with my neck, shoulders, and lower back. We did the treadmill for 20 mins, worked out our arms, and 10 more mins on the treadmill. I mean to tell you, I feel it today!!! LOL I hurt, but it is a good hurt. Tell's me I am doing things right. I currently weigh 182 lbs. My goal is to lose 50 lbs by May. That is about 10 lbs/ month. I am determine to do this!! I have lost 3lbs. so far!! So everyone wish me luck!! I will keep you posted on how I do!!

This Sketch is from an 8yr girl!!

Hello,

My life is going a little crazy trying to figure out a daily routine again!! My girls are back in school, we are in the new house, I have started dieting and exercising, handling the business, trying to stamp, and get stamping business going are all the things I am trying to juggle into a 24 hour a day, 7 days a week schedule. That doesn't include all there other everyday life things that can happen. I wasn't able to stamp yesterday because of it, but I was bound and determined to stamp today!! Eventually, it will all settle down and become a smooth routine. I hope!!! LOL

This is for today's SCS's Color Challenge 200 where we were to use Brilliant Blue, Pumpkin Pie, and Garden Green.

This is also for a Sketch Challenge an 8 yr old girl made for her mom and friends to make!! I found this sketch from here ... The Whimsical Butterfly via The Daily DareI stamped the image twice, colored it with Watercolor Crayons and an aquapainter, cut out the top flower from one and popped it up on the other. I then cut it out and place it on it's frame.

Featured Stamper Challenge 100

Hello,
I was cleaning the doing bills and house cleaning all day today to the point I didn't think I was gonna get to stamp, but I managed to do it just a little late.
This is for today's Featured Stamper Challenge 100 -Julie (JulieHRR). What an awesome gallery!! I have several I picked out, but I went with this one http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo/242161?cat=500&ppuser=362 . I kept her layout, but changed the colors, the stamps, size of ribbon, and added a BG. Oh, and changed her triangle edging to a scalloped one.
My images are from High Hopes Stamps colored with PrismaColors and Mineral Spirits.
Cute, Sweet, and Simple.

This is also Sketch Saturday's Saturday Sketch!! LOL I found this challenge via this site http://dailydare4u.blogspot.com/

My second card today!!

Hello,

I made another card today. It is a triple whammy!!

My good friend Deb Felt (debdeb) introduced me to a new blog she is helping with called The Daily Dare. You can find it here... http://dailydare4u.blogspot.com/ On it you can find a list of daily challenges from different blogs.

This lead me to Our Creative Corner's Sketch Challenge. My card is that sketch.
I was also at Sweet n' Sassy's release party last night and one of their challenges was to use the Paper Tole Technique. I totally love doing Paper Tole. On my card, I paper toled the fish and the oyster.

This is also for today's Inspiration Challenge 161. The cake I chose is on the aquatic one on the thrid page first one.

I am finding out I can't take great pics at night in my new house. Sorry for it being so dark. In the morning I will take another pic and upload it to my blog.

I took a new pic in the morning and it turned out better. It is now the one you see.

Wooohooo My 2nd Post!!

Hello there,

Well I couldn't sleep last night so I thought I might as well stamp.

I went to my first blog release party last night with Sweet n' Sassy. Their first challenge was to create something using the Paper Tole Technique. I love to Paper Tole. I just didn't know what I wanted to do.
So I went to see what today's Inspiration Challenge 161 was and I found this to inspire me... http://cakenouveau.com/cakesnew.html It is the one that is last one over, second one down.

This is what I came up with. I chose the colors and the theme of the cake for my card and then I Paper Toled my pirate. I stamped him 4 times, colored him with PrismaColors and Mineral Spirits, cut out the appropriate pieces, and put them together with demensionals. His Hat is popped up as well as his arm and the wheel was done twice.
I uploaded additional pics so you can see the demention. It was dark last night when I took the first pic and you can't see the paper tole.

I really like how it turned out!

MY FIRST BLOG POST!!!

Hello there everyone!!

This is my very first blog post!! Not quite sure what I am suppose to be doing here, but I am sure I will get the hang of it with all of my wonderful friends advise. I guess I'll just start with what I put on today's upload on SCS.

This was originally going to be for the Friday Demonstrable 3-D SU! Project, but once I was putting it together, I notice the stamp I choose were expired. So, I changed it to go with today's Limited Supplies Challenge 201- My Favorite Things.

I love my Happy Heart Day stamps.
My color combo is Chocolate Chip, Old Olive, and Riding Hood Red. I choose white for my neutral, and I cheated a tad with Basic Gray for my elephant.
For my embellies, I choose heart brads and ribbon. I guess I cheated again, because I used my crimper for the belly band and the confetti on the inside.
As for technique, I used paper piecing.

Inside my pillow, I have confetti I made with strips of Riding Hood Red and my crimper and 4 rolls of LifeSavors.

I like it!!
