Digital Tuesday Challenge #39

Welcome to another Digital Tuesday Challenge!!

Michelle R. is my name and being hostess this week is my game!!

First of all, I hope everyone had a wonderfully happy holiday last week, and is looking forward to a HAPPY NEW YEAR this week!!

Second, I would like to thank everyone who played along last week in the Let It Snow Challenge, we had so much fun visiting your blogs and seeing your projects. A random winner for the 3 Dustin Pike images will be chosen later on today!

*******************************************************

Now, on to your challenge for today!!

We are now in the midst of winter. My daughter, Aliyah, is dying to see snow. She keeps hoping someday it will snow, but alas, we live in Florida where it never really snows. So it is for her I have created this challenge.

I want to see winter scene images using lots of Dazzling Diamonds for snow.

Our sponsor this week is Soft Pencil. Elizabeth has many cute winter scenes as you can see by many of the creations our wonderful DT has created on the Digital Tuesday Challenge Blog. The winner of this week challenge will receive a $15 Gift Certificate to spend on Soft Pencil images.

*****************************************************
My image is from Soft Pencil. It is colored with Prismacolor Pencil and OMS. I did both the outside and inside of this card. I used Dazzling Diamonds for the snow on the image and for all four snowflakes. And to add a little extra snow in case the Dazzling Diamonds weren't enough, I used my Cuttlebug Snowflake folder on Shimmery White Cardstock for my BG too!! The title of the image is 'Looking For a Friend'. I chose to use it as my computer generated sentiment. To finish off the sentiment, I put 'and I found you' on my inside.
Wht do y'all think?

What I Have Been Up To

Hey there,
.
I just wanted to show you what I have been up to lately. I kinda took a break from making cards seeing my stamp room is so chaotic with everything every where you can't find anything. It also was the wrapping station for Christmas.
.
I made a few ornaments to give as gifts to my BFF's this year.
.
You can find the tutorial in a very old blog post (November 2006) made by Amanda Sewell - Inkspirations here.

I made a Plaid Bucilla Felt Stocking for one of my God sons for Christmas next year. I am making one for each of my god kids and this was the first one I completed. I'll show you each one as I finish them. I already have stocking made for my family. I made them several years ago. My extended family saw them and they wanted one too. So I am making 6 of them over the course of the year for next Christmas!!

.

Here is a pic of my family's stockings made made a long time ago...

What do y'all think?

I am now going to clean up my stamp room. It will probably take me the whole day!! LOL

Once I am done, I will get back to making cards finally!! I am hosting the challenge for this week's Digital Tuesday Challenge, so I'd better get cracking!!

Hope everyone had a beautifully blessed holiday!!

Warm wishes to all,

Michelle

Hello there everyone,

This is for my Angel's Landing DT Challenge. Judi has challenge us to make anything to do with a gift. For my Gift Giving project, I chose to make a window treat box. I used Shimmering White, Felt Snowflake DP, and Metallic Silver for my papers, and Nestabilities to cut out her window. My embellishments include white wired ribbon and die-cut snowflakes covered in Dazzling Diamonds centered with a rhinestone. My sentiment is computer generated. The candy inside the box is vanilla flavored Tootsie Rolls.

Simple, Easy 5 in 1

Hello everyone,
.
I decided to go with a simple, easy, and quick card today. I finally got rid of my migraines (they were due to allergies) and ended up with a massive head cold. 'Tis the season right? LOL It was a little difficult to take a pic. seeing the metallic silver kept wanting to shine the flash, but I managed to get a decent one. Sorry for the bright flash in the corner.
.
I found the challenges to give me inspiration in making my card today via The Daily Dare.
.
My first challenge is for today's Daring Cardmakers 'I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas Challenge where we were to make a Christmas cards that is mainly white with just a hint of coloring on your embellishments or stamped image. My hint of coloring, of course, is silver. I have never really made a mainly white, simple and easy card before. This was pretty cool!! LOL
.
Next, this is for today's No Time To Stamp's Stamp Simply #115-Mass Production Challenge where we were to create a card that is SUPER easy to mass produce — like once designed you could realistically sit down and do 6 or 8 or more within an hours time. This card only took me 15 minutes to make and will be easy to produce many quickly.
.
This is for today's Paper Cutz Challenge #19 where anything goes, and for today's Paper Makeup Stamps Challenge where we were to create anything holiday/Christmas.
.
And finally, my layout is yesterday's Our Creative Corner Challenge which is the Stamp and Smiles Sketch Challenge #42
.
My card is quite simply made. I finally used my Winter House Cuttlebug folder I have had for over a year, but never managed to use. I sprinkled to snow with Dazzling Diamonds, and embossed the saying from SU!'s Solemn Stillness set in Silver EP. My ornaments are just circle punches with Cuttlebug Snowflake Diecuts covered in Dazzling Diamonds centered with a rhinestone, and holiday silver wired ribbon. That's it!! Simple huh?

Angel's Landing DT Challenge

Hey everyone,
.
Yesterday, I registered to start college to get my PHD in psychology. I am going to become a therapist. I have had many signs that maybe this is my calling so I am going for it. My BFF and I have also decided to look into opening our own roller skating rink. There is only one here in Jacksonville, Fl and it is all the way over in Mandarin which is about 45 mins for just about everyone. Anywho, tomorrow morning, I have to take my college placement test. I know I will do good in reading and English, but my math is a little rusty since I haven't been to school in 20 yrs. So, today I am going to study. Guess I have to get use to that!! LOL Before I go study though, I wanted to show you what I came up for the Angel's Landing DT Challenge for this week.
.
This, of course, is for this week's Angel's Landing Blog DT Challenge. Judi has challenged us to 'Think Small'. We had to create something that was 3 x 3 or smaller.
.
For my 'Think Small' challenge, I chose to make a 3 x 3 Notecard Box with notecards. I used the images from the Toys On Wheels set colored with Prismacolor Pencils and Odorless Mineral Spirits. My main image was printed twice and colored. I cut the wheels out of one of the images and popped them up with demensionals onto the second image. .
This is for my Angel's Landing Blog DT card for the week.

I has chose to use images from the newly released Penguin Chicks. I used Prismacolor pencils and odorless mineral spirits to color my images. The Cuttlebug Snowflake folder was used on SU! Shimmer White paper for the background layer. For my finishing touch, I added Dazzling Diamonds to snowflake brads and the snow on the sentiment.

Sweet Baby

Hello,
.
Sorry for the crappy photo, but it is cloudy here today and that never makes for a good clear picture.
.
This is for today's SCS Featured Stamper 138 Nancy (NancyRuth). I chose this card to CASE.
.
I kept just about everything the same.
I added a layer to the base.Changed the DP, image, and embellie.
I didn't have sticky letters so I stamped them and cut them out in squares.
.
My image is a digital image from Angels Landing. It is from the Mini Bears and Birds set. It is colored with Prismacolor Pencils and OMS, cut out, and popped up with demensionals.

Angels Landing Challenge

Hey there everyone,
.
This is for today's Angels Landing Challenge. Today's challenge is a sketch.
.
My image is a digital image from Angels Landing's new release called Autumn Tweetings. I colored it with Prismacolor Pencils and OMS. I used foil DP from me and my BiG ideas, wired ribbon for my embelli, and I am not sure where the sentiment came from. It was loose in my closet of stamps and I thought it perfect to use.

OMG!!! It's an SU! card!!

Hello,
.
This is for today's SCS Featured Stamper 137 Heather (tankgrl). What an awesome gallery she has!! I chose this card to CASE.
.
I kept her same basic theme of the three trees and plaid DP, but from there my card kinda took a life of it's own. Believe it or not, I have actually had this image with it's layers done since last year. I just never got around to putting it to a card. My image is the SU! Christmas Classics set. It is stamped using SU! markers with the center tree popped up with demensionals. The scalloped layer was done with the SU! square scallop punch. I punched out 9 squares and taped them together to create my layer. This was before I was introduced to Nestibilities!!
.
Well, my image was to big to put on a regular 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 so I made it a 5 1/2x 5 1/2. There ended up not being enough room to put a sentiment at the bottom, but it didn't matter because I already had the sentiment above the trees. I had already had dazzling diamonds under my trees so all I added was my gold trimmed ribbon.
.
So there you have it,

Dutin Pike Spooky Stair Step Card

Hello,
.
I wanted to play yesterday, but the powers that be didn't allow me to. I did have something in mind I wanted to make, but I had to wait until this morning to make it.
.
This is for yesterday's Limited Supplies Challenge 238 Spooky Colors where we were challenged to used spooky colors on our creations. We could use up to 4 embellies, but I chose to go with none. Enless your consider a few demensionals as embellies.
.
My images are digital images from Dustin Pike. My trick-or-treaters are colored with Prismacolor Pencils and OMS. I then cut them out and popped them up with demensionals. My bg is made with SU!'s House of Haunts. I black embossed the images on white, then I daubered the different colors to create the scene. I used my new Martha Stewart fence punch, and my sentiment is from SU!'s Autumn Apparitions embossed in black also.

I colored it with Prismacolor Pencils and OMS. I added a touch of glitter to the holly berries and used Liquid Applique with the heat gun to add fluffy texture to the hat. I cut it out with my Nestiblities and trimmed the edges with my Gold Painty Pen. I added dots and trimmed the edges with the Gold Painty Pen on the base Nestibilities cutout also. Angel's Landing Last Wednesday's Challenge

Hello everyone,
.
I have had some major computer issues as of late. I have not been able to get onto the internet for over a week. but now everything has been taken care of and now I am back up and running!!!
.
With that said, I was unable to upload my challenge project for my new Design Team Angel's Landing. If you visit their blog, you saw a picture of my project, but it was never posted on SCS or my blog. Well, here I am finally posting!!
.
This is for Angel's Landing's Wednesday Challenge for last week. The challenge was ABC-Any Thing But a Card. The design team’s challenge last week was to create any paper craft project — other than a card. I made an A2 box. I used the cow image from the Toys on Wheels digital stamps set. I printed the image twice and colored them with Prismacolor Pencils and OMS. I then cut out one complete image and the base wheels of the other. I popped the base wheels up with demensionals and popped up the whole image with more demensionals. I used my Nestibilities as a base under the image. My ribbon is wired, and my sentiment is computer generated.

.
My image is a digital image from Cut It Out Paper Crafts. I have colored her with mostly Copics Markers. I do not have flesh colored markers yet so I used Prismacolor Pencils and OMS to color the skin. I computer generated my sentiment.
