Hey there,

Check this out, I just became a design team member for Digital Stamp Oasis. My term dosen't start until April 1st, but I couldn't wait to color this is squirrel. So last night, I colored her with Prismacolor Pencils and Odorless Mineral Spirits, but I didn't know what I wanted to do with her. So I went to bed, and can you believe, while I slept,I had a dream about this card? So after I finished all the chores for the day, I sat down and made what I dreamt.

This isn't for any challenge except the challenge to create what I dreamed.

I stamped my BG with the strawberry from Tart & Tangy. I colored it with Glorious Green and Real Red SU! Markers, off stamped it twice, and stamp it on the paper.
I computer generated my sentiment.

Dustin's Dragon

Hey there,
Well, after I made Aliyah's birthday card. I continued to make the card I orginally wanted to make.
This is for today's SCS Ways To Use It Challenge where we were to use a technique that involved using an iron. I chose Wax Resist. It is my top red piece.
This is also for yesterday's SCS Sktech Challenge 221 with out the fourth panel.
This image is from Dustin Pike. On his blog, he is giving these adorable digital stamps for free. I couldn't resist these awesome images.
I colored Dustin's Dragon with Prismacolor Pencils, and Mineral Spirits. I popped the kite up with demensionals, and I used a scallop with a dauber and Bashful Blue to make the sky.
I computer generated the sentiment.

Aliyah's 13th Birthday Card

Hello there,
I had planned on using a new digi stamp I had downloaded yesterday for today's challenge, but I was informed by my oldest daughter, Aliyah, that she wanted me to make a birthday card from the image I used yesterday. You see I am about to have a TEENAGER in my house!!! I know, poor me!! LOL. Aliyah will be turning 13 years old on the 1st of April. I know I know, but I promise you it was no joke for me that day!! LOL
When Aliyah saw the image I used yesterday, she imediately piped up and said 'You know mom, my birthday is coming. I sure would like I card made with that stamp and oh, I would like the colors of the card to be purple, my FAVORITE color, pink, and yellow. Could you do that for me?' I told her 'WHAT??? I have to make a card for you?? What you think because I make cards, I should make you one for your birthday?? I am already taking you and your BFF to Disney on your birthday. You mean I have to make a card too??
'She just innocently said 'yes'.
So here I am, forgoing what I wanted to do to make her her birthday card.
This is for today's Ways To use It Challenge 211 Hot Metal where we were to create a technique that uses an iron. I chose the wax resist technique for my whole card.
My image is from this awesome artist, Dustin Pike. He has been drawing these awesome and adorable images and has allowed us to download them for free to use as digital stamps. I colored the image with Prismacolor Pencils and Odorless Mineral Spirits. I daubered Cool Carribean for the sky.

Hello, hello,

I wasn't able to sleep last night so I chose to make a card. It was so awesome the SCS Featured Stamper Challenge was up and what was even more awesome was it is Beate!!! She is such an exceptional stamper!!

This is for today's SCS Featured Stamper Challenge 111 Beate . There were several cards I had picked out, but this is the one I went with Tangerine Rose to CASE. I finished this at 4:00 in the morning, but again, because my camera doesn't take good pictures at night, I waited until this morning to upload it.

What I changed....

I changed stamp images.
Changed one of the paper color.
I eliminated the ribbon.

My main image is colored with Prismacolors and Odorless Mineral Spirits. It is also popped up on demensionals.

Thank you Beate for such an awesome inspiration!!!

Hello,
I felt like I needed to make a card that looked and felt like the Inspiration Challenge. Here is what I came up with.
This is for today's SCS Inspiration Challenge 172 Little Daisy Designs. I chose this little dress for my inspiration.
This is also for Thursday's SCS Ways To Use It Challenge 210 Stuck On You Again where we were to use stickers on our card. These flowers were part of the sheet I got my other sticker off of. I really wanted to use it so I made it work with the Inspiration Challenge.

Sweet Spring

Hello everyone,

This is one doozy of a challenge card. I made this last night finishing it around 1:00 in the morning, but because my camera does not take good pictures at night, I waited until this morning to upload it. I combined 5 challenges for this card!!

First, this is for today's SCS Inspiration Challenge 172 Little Daisy's Designs. I chose this little dress for the colors adding Lavender Lace.

Second, this is for Thursday's SCS Ways To Use It Challenge 210 Stuck On You Again where we were to use stickers on our card. The flower on the corner is a sticker, but I added demensionals to pop it up.

Third, this is for yesterday's SCS Limited Supplies Challenge 212 The First Day of Spring where we were to use Soft Subtle Colors and Spring flowers on our card. My main image is from High Hopes Stamp colored with Prismacolor Pencils and Odorless Mineral Spirits. My sentiment is from High Hopes Stamps as well.

Fourth, this is for Friday's Stamp Something's Challenge where we were to think Spring.

And last, but not least, this is for Prairie Paper and Ink's Friday Sketch 54

The last two challenge I found via The Daily Dare

Like I said, it is a doozy of a challenge card!!! LOL

I Know, Another Holiday Card!!!

Hello there,
.
I know, I know. Another Christmas card, but I have had this image colored for over three weeks now and I have been waiting for the opportunity to use it on a card. When I saw today's Sketch Challenge, I instantly knew what I wanted to do!!
.
So, this is for today's SCS Sketch Challenge 220.
.
My image is from High Hopes Stamps colored with Prismacolor pencils and odorless mineral spirits. I duabered the sky with Bashful Blue. For my BG panels, I used two different Cuttlebug folders. The swirl folder I left white, and the snowflake folder I used the negative effect with Bashful Blue. The snowflakes are a Cuttlebug die with a rhinestone in the middle.
.
Since it is a Christmas card, I am making it my Christmas Card Challenge for April and for once, I will be actually be ahead of the game!!! LOL
Of course, I will be making 10 of these.

SURPRISE, SURPRISE!! IT'S NOT A HOLIDAY CARD!!

Hey Hey!!

I combined several challenges today.

First, this is for today's SCS Color Challenge 210 where we were to use Riding Hood Red, Summer Sun, Kraft, and Black (optional) I chose to use all of them.

Second, this is for Flourishes Timeless Tuesday's Challenge where Cindy challenged us to use ribbon. I usually tie my ribbons in a bow, this time I only tied it in a knot.

And last, this is for Created by Courtney's Sketch Challenge

The last two I found via The Daily Dare

My sun flower squares are popped up on dementionals as well as the black squares under them. My lady bug is a button. And the button on my prima flower is an old button from my DH's mom's collection of buttons. When she passed away, my DH inherited her jar of buttons. She was a very crafty person from what I hear in the stories my DH tells me. So, I think she would be quite proud of me for finding such a crafty use for her button.

I did kinda cheat a little. The button on the prima flower has a little bit of brown in it. So on my stamped flowers, I stamped the centers black then I went over them with my SU!! Chocolate Chip marker. I hope that is ok because it ties the two together. It looked off with out me doing that.

Hello there,

This is for today's SCS Technique Challenge 212 Ribbon Frame where we were to use ribbon to make a frame on our card. The directions are found here... Ribbon Frame

It was hard for me to get a good pic of this because of all the metallic gold paper I used on it, but I finally got a decent picture.

This was a lot of fun to do and it just adds such an awesome flare to a card.

My image is from High Hopes Stamp colored with Prismacolor pencils and odorless mineral spirits.

You can't really tell in the pic, but the red frame is popped up on demensionals as well as the green underneath it. I acutally used a border punch to make the frame. It made a unique little design so I used it.

I am finally caught up with my Christmas Card Challenge '09. This is for my March of course. I will be making 10 of these.

Hello there,

This is for today SCS Featured Stamper 110 Twinshappy. I am so excited Stacy is today's featured stamper. I so love her gallery!! I had picked out several cards to CASE, and went with this one Stacy's card

The things I changed...
Added layers
Changed stamp
Used a rectangle instead of a square
Used smaller ribbon and tied it in a bow
And exchanged the brads for a sentiment which is from High Hopes Stamps

This is also for my March's Thanksgiving card. I am finally caught up with my Thanksgiving so far. I will be making 10 of these.

I know you are probably tired of seeing my holiday cards being it is not the season for them, but I have to keep up with my personal challenge to make 10 a month for each holiday. I have enough to do when they roll around. This makes it easier when they do come around because I don't have to stress about try to make so many in a short period of time. All I have to do is address them and send them on their way. Then I can concentrate on other things.

As for the card,

Hello there,

This is for today's SCS Limited Supplies Challenge 211 Go Ahead and Bug Me where we were to use a insect on our card. We were not to use more than 4 layers or patterned paper.

Well, I only used 4 layers and my BG I made myself with a flower, a bee, and SU! Markers.

My main image is from High Hopes Stamps colored with SU! Markers. I think I colored the bear a little too dark.

My sentiment was computer generated.

My sketch came from Eat, Sleep, Stamp , a challenge I found via The Daily Dare

I am extremely sick today. I woke up with a sore throat, cough, upset staomach, and body feeling like it had been hit by a couple of frieght trains!! I actually made this card 2 nights ago, and hadn't uploaded it. It fit today's challenge and since I don't really feel like stamping today, I thought it would be ok to upload this.

Hello,
I have been thinking alot about a friend of mine lately. She and I are good friends, but as life would have it, we are often too busy to see each other as much as we would like. She loves anything Asian, and I have been wanting to make a card to send her just to say I was thinking of her. I thought today's colors would be perfect to make an Asian card.
This is for today's SCS Color Challenge 209 where we were to use Basic Black, Rose Red, and Always Artichoke.
I had found the bamboo stamp at Hobby Lobby and I thought of my friend imediately. I found the Asian rub-ons there also.
I got the idea of the little Asian girl at a stamp camp Faith(markie's mom) held a long time ago. I thought she would be a perfect addition to my card. Thank you Faith for coming up with such a cute little Asian girl.
I can't wait to send this to my friend. I hope she likes it!!

Hello there,
This is for today's SCS Limited Supplies Challenge 210 where we were to make a card in under 30 mins.
This is also for Wednesday's SCS Sketch Challenge 218.
I made this card in 20 minutes!! OMG!!! I couldn't believe I did it in under 30 mins!!! Well, I kinda already had the idea in mind for the Sketch Challenge, but was unable to stamp that day. Roxie made it easy for me with her measurements for the challenge. All I had to do was cut!!
As for the image, it is from High Hopes Stamps. Last weekend, my youngest DD and I colored. I had stamped several of my new stamps and colored them. Now I am just waiting for the chance to use them on a card. This is one of those images so I didn't take me any time to color it this morning.
So, like I said, it was east for me to make a card in under 30 minutes today!!

Hello,

This is for today's SCS Technique Challenge 210 where we were to make a Crimped Envelope Pocket Card.

This is also for yesterday's High Hopes Stamps Challenge 20 where we were to make our cards with something fuzzy.

I used a large envelope for this. I colored the rainbow with my SU! Markers. You can't tell it, but my something fuzzy is my velvet ribbon on top.

My image is from High Hopes stamps colored with SU! Markers.

I haven't had a chance to make my inside card, but when I do, it will say 'Being friends with you is like finding the pot o' gold at the end of the rainbow! Happy St. Paddy's Day!!'

It is time for an update on my weight loss!! I am now on my 9th week!! It was frustrating at first because I wasn't seeing it on the scale, but I kept at it because I was seeing it in the inches. By the end of my first month, I had only lost 4 lbs, but I had lost 18 inches. From the end of my first month to the end of my second month, I have lost an additional 6lbs and 91/2 inches. Making my total for 8 weeks, 10 lbs and 27 1/2 inches!!! Now, I do measure in 9 different places. I measure my arms, chest, waist, mid waist, lower abs, hips, butt, thigh, and calf. My biggest lost is in my lower abs!! I have lost 6 inches there!!! I plan to keep plugging at the weight loss thing until I am down to 135. I only have 38 more lbs to go. Wish me luck in accomplishing this. I will give another update next month!! 'Til then, everyone have a great day!!
