I Thank My God 5 in 1 Challenge

Hello,
.
Wooohoo, I made another 5 in 1 challenge card!!
.
First, this is for today's Sketch Challenge 226.
.
Second, for yesterday's Dancing in Pajamas TCP Tuesday 56 Challenge where were to be inspired by some pastel colored glasses. I of course, went with the colors.
.
Third, this is for the ABC's Challenge where the letter was L which is for list. We were given a list of 1 Ribbon, 3 Flowers, and 6 Brads to put on our card. My 3 flowers have brads, there are 2 on the bottom, and the flower on the sentiment is my 6th one.
.
Fourth, this is for the Creative Belli Challenge #64 where we were to use Jumbo Eyelets or Brads. I chose to use Jumbo Brads.
.
And last, but not least, this is for yesterday'sSketches by Tamara Recipe Challenge where we were to use Stitching (real or faux), a rub-on, and a winged thing. Well, my stitching is faux and in two places. One is on the bottom BG that you can see, and the other is on the blue BG in white. As for the rub-on, I used and winged thing rub-on!! LOL My dragonfly is a rub-on.
.
My image is from Digital Stamp Oasis colored with Prismacolor Pencils and OMS. My sentiment is from a new digital company called Digiments that will be opening in May.

Magic Christmas Box

Magic Christmas Box Closed

Magic Christmas Box Open

Hello,
This is for today's SCS Color Challenge 216 where we were to use Real Red, Basic Black, and Old Olive.
.
I know it is no where near Christmas, but when I saw today's colors, all I could think of was Christmas. I also couldn't stop thinking about making another Magic Box. So, I put the two together. I think it was meant for me to make this. Even my DH came home and said this is probably the prettiest thing I have ever made. He was amazed with it. I do love how it turned out.
.
I found the awesome DP at Micheal's and thought it would be prefect for Real Red, and it gave lots of texture to my box without having to stamp. The Old Olive under the DP was not dark enough so I daubered Old Olive around the edges to make it darker. I computer generated my sentiment and use my Nestibilities for the border around it. I layered 3 Poinsetta Primas, put them together with a vanilla brad I had dipped in Dazziling Diamonds to give them sparkle, added the leaves with glue dots, and used a glue dot to attach them to the acetate. For my bow, I used a vanilla wired ribbon so I could postion the bow the way I wanted it.
.
And viola, there you have it.

If anyone would like the measurement to make this just let me know.

Better You Than Me

Hello,
.
I made a second card for today's SCS challenge and I combined it with two other challenges. I had it almost done earlier, but my oldest DD had a swim meet and I was a timer. So, I had to wait until I got back to finish making this card.
.
First, this is for today SCS Technique Challenge 218 Marble Technique where we were to use marbles and reinkers to make our own DP. Well, I had a heck of a time finding something to use for marbles. I have girls and we don't have marbles in our house. What I did find, after digging way deep in the little one's toy box, where 3 bingo balls from an old bingo set we threw away when we moved. The reinkers I used were Basic Black and Basic Gray.
.
Second this this is for 365 Cards Day 58 Something's Fishy where we were to put at least one image of a fish on your card. What better fish than in the belly of a kitty? LOL
.
And last, but not least, this is for Sketch and Stash Challenge #9
.
My image is from Dustin Pike colored with Prismacolor Pencils and OMS. I computer generated my sentiment.
.
Sorry my pic isn't that good. I have a hard time taking good bright pics at night time in my home

Rubber Ducky You're the One

Hey Hey Hey,
.
Ooooooweeee, do I have a humdinger of a challenge card!! This card is for 5 different challenges!!
.
First, this is for today's SCS Technique Challenge 218 Marble Technique where we were to use marbles and reinkers to make our own DP. Well, I had a heck of a time finding something to use for marbles. I have girls and we don't have marbles in our house. What I did find, after digging way deep in the little one's toy box, where 3 bingo balls from an old bingo set we threw away when we moved. The reinkers I used were Tempting Turquoise and Yoyo Yellow.
.
Second, this is for the CCEE Stampers Everything Old is New Again Challenge where we were to create a card using a die, tool, embellishment we haven’t used in a long time or have never used. Mine was the rain drop embellishments. I have had these for over two years and never had used them. When I found them I was so excited, because they were perfect for my image.
.
Third, this is for the Cupcake Craft Challenge 37 where we were to use 5 different embelishments. Mine are 3 different ribbons, rain drops, and brads.
.
Fourth, this is for Pollycraft's Challenge 14 Callums Challenge where we were to make a card for a child. What better thing for a kid than a rubber ducky!! LOL We were to include something from Pollycraft. So I found and downloaded the DP that is behind the bear.
.
And last, but not least, this is for Paper Makeup Stamps Monday Challenge Gettin' Sketchy where they provided this sketch.
.
I found the last four challenge via The Daily Dare
.
My image is from Dustin Pike. It is colored (with what else?) Prismacolor Pencils and OMS. I computer generated my sentiment.

My Winged Friend

Hello,
.
This is for today's SCS Featured Stamper Challenge 116 Kathy (WATTLE). I chose to CASE this card.
.
I kept her layout and embelishments.
I changed the image to a Dustin Pike image I just got.
I changed the color of the papers
I used the same stmp set for the sentiment, but a different stamp.
.
This is also for the Dare U 2 Digi Stamp Challenge #4 - Things with Wings where we were to use a digital image that has wings, an embellishment of some kind with wings, or a patterned paper with wings in the pattern. I chose to go with the digital image with wings.
.
This is also for 2 Red Bananas Challenge - Wearing Stripes where we were to use stripes on our card.
.
As I said, my image is from Dustin Pike colored with Prismacolor Pencils and OMS. I used a punched out scallop daubered with Cool Carribean to create the clouds and sky.

Hey there everyone,
I have not been able to stamp much less get on the computer to upload anything this week. I have been really busy with the girls and school and things of that nature. So this morning, I told my DH he was on duty with the girls so I may concentrate on catching up with my DT's, blog and challenges!!
I made this last Sunday for the Digital Tuesday Challenge #3 Celebrate Earth Day. It was a color challenge where we were to use green and brown with one other color. My other color was pink.
The image is from Digital Stamp Oasis. It is color with Prismacolor Pencils and Odorless Mineral Spirits.

OMGoodness, I have some awesome news on how my weight loss is going!!

As y'all may well know, if you have been following my blog, I have been trying to lose weight. I tried to do it on my own, but wasn't doing so good. I was busting my butt exercising (2 1/2 hours a day) and restricting my calories to 1500-1700 and in 2 1/2 months I had only lost 9.5 lbs.
Well, I was just about ready to give up. It really wasn't worth it!! But then I heard on the radio, one of the DJ's was on a diet from Metabolic Research. He was saying in one month he had lost 16lbs and it was the easiest diet he has ever been on. So, I thought, what the heck, why not give it a try!!

Today marks one month of me being on the Metabolic Research diet!! I had to do the big scale that measures everything (weight, fat, and water) and my measurements according to them.
The measurements they take are...
Neck
Shoulders
Chest
Under Chest
Waist
Lower Abs
Hips
Largest Area of the Butt
Thigh
Calf
and Ankle

Ok, regarding weight loss, I have lost 11 lbs!! 1 lb is water weight, but the other 10 is pure fat!!!! My BMI was 30.2 and is now 28!! I am no longer considered obese!! I am now just overweight!!

Now this month, I had some cheat times. I had a week in Disney and I also had Easter. So imagine how it is gonna be for me this month where there is no reasons for me to need to cheat?!?!

As for my inches, my total loss for the month is 19.75 inches!!!!! WOOOOOHOOOOOO!!!!!I lost 3.5 inches both in my lower abs and butt alone!!!! I even lost a 1/2 an inch in my ankle!! LOL

I am so flying on cloud nine right now!! I am so excited this is working for me and I am not really doing anything to make it happen except eating right. I think this whole month I have been on the treadmill maybe 10 times!! Imagine if I did it everyday!!

If you would like any info regarding my program, please leave me a comment on how to get in touch with you. I'll be more than happy to tell you everything about it!! My husband started doing my meal plan and eating right and in a week and a half he has lost 5lbs. This is the easiest diet I have ever been on and I am getting real results!!!

I did learn something today. My center asked me how I have been feeling, and I told them this week I was feeling really tired alot, even had to take naps. They asked me if I had changed anything, and I told them no, but I was really struggling for energy. What they told me was I am low on my essential minerals. They said with all the water I am drinking not only am I flushing out fat, I am flushing out my minerals also. Minerals are water soluble there for drinking as much water as I am is flushing to much of them out as well. Minerals provide sustained energy. So now I am gonna start taking mineral shots and see how it goes. I'll let you know how it goes!!

Hope everyone is doing great!! I just wanted to share my news!!

Have an awesome week!!

April's Thanksgiving for '09

Hello,
.
This is for today's SCS Featured Stamper Challenge 115 Jamie (Jaymerz). I choose to case her Riley in the Patch.
.
I kept her same basic theme, colors and layout.
I did change her Sage Shadow to Old Olive.
I changed Riley to a turkey.
I changed the DP to one I made with Rubberband Stamping.
I added a layer to the main image.
And I inverted the card.
.
I stamped an image from SU! Costume Bears on the main image and I stamped the turkey on another page. I colored them both with Prismacolor Pencils and Odorless Mineral Spirits, cut the turkey out and glued him on top of the pumkpin bear. I layered the image twice then popped it up on demensionals.
.
I needed to make my April's Thanksgiving card for '09.
I will be making 10 of these to add to my yearly collection.

Dustin's Magic Box

Hello there,

I have been so busy with family lately, I have not been able to stamp. So, before I start my day with them, I was determined to stamp today!!

This is for today's SCS Inspiration Challenge 176 Skeem. I went with the dragon from this. All I went with was the dragon. I was happy to see something with a dragon on it because I wanted to make this box with one of Dustin Pike's dragons.

I found the box on a blog and clicked on the link to Magic-Boxes.Com for the tutorial on how to make the box.

Ok, now on to how I made this. I followed the tutorial to make the box. To make all of my panels, I used a punched out scallop. I laid the scallop on my paper, used a dauber with Bashful Blue, and daubered the top edges of the scallop onto White over and over again until I covered my entire paper. This creates the cloud look. For my dragon, I printed him out on white paper and acetate paper. I colored him with Prismacolor Pencils and Odorless Mineral Spiritson the white page. On the Acetate page, as soon as it came off the printer, I embossed him with Black EP. I made the stem and then cut the rest off around him. This way you could still see his kite string. Once this was done, I cut him and his kite from the white paper and glue it to the acetate. Now it looks like he is up in the sky!! I computer generated the sentiment, layered them up, and placed them on their acetate stems.

And Viola, there you have it!!

Everything fits inside the box and when you open it, it pops out!! It is so awesome IRL!!

Hello there,/

Boy I sure have had such an awesome day!! Lots of wonderful news was received today. Some I can tell, some I can't yet!!

What I can tell you is, my oldest DD, Aliyah. Not only got all A's on her report card, but she also made the swim team and has been asked to be on the cheerleading squad for next year!!! I am so happy for her. Her coach also wants me to be her assist for cheerleading next year!!!

The rest of the news I have to wait to tell y'all 'til it is confirm and set!!

As for the card, this is for today's Color Challenge 214 where we were to use Bordering Blue, So Saffron, Pink Pirouette, and an optional Chocolate Chip. I pretty much kept to the colors. Had to add green for the grass and bording blue is hard to match in DP's so I got as close to it as I could. As for my bling, combine the two together and you got So Saffron!! LOL

This is also another card for the Dare U 2 Digi Stamp Challenge #2 Bling where we were to use at least one digital stamp and BLING!!

This is also for today's ICSketches Sketch #12

My image is from Digital Stamp Oasis colored with Prismacolor Pencils and Odorless Mineral Spirits.

Hello there,

This is for today's SCS Technique Challenge 216 Metal Stamping where we were to use an empty soda can on our card. See here for details on that.

This is also for Dare U 2 Digi Stamp Challenge #2 Bling where we were to use at least one digital stamp and of course, BLING.

My image is from an awesome artist named Dustin Pike. He makes some of the cutest digi stamps!! I just got this one yesterday and couldn't wait to use it.

I colored my dragon with Prismacolor Pencils and Odorless Mineral Spirits. Of course my bling is around the scallop. My flowers are my soda can. I stamped a flower from Ginormous Flowers and used the flower punch to punch it out. Now my StazOn stamping left spots I didn't like. So, too make it bold and solid, I took a paint brush and filled it in the StazOn ink refill.

Hello,

This is for Digital Stamp Oasis's Digital Tuesday Challenge #2 Shabby Chic

Ok, so this is my atempt at Shabby Chic. I really didn't know what shabby chic was. I had to e-mail Ellie to ask her what is was. She told me it was lots of destressing, and dressed up with flowers, pearls and/or rhinestones. I don't really do shabby chic, but here is what I came up with. Hope it works!! LOL

My images is from Digital Stamp Oasis colored with Prismacolor Pencils and Odorless Mineral Spirits. I popped up the flower with demensionals. My pearl ribbon is from the very first time Faith (markie's mom) and I ever went shopping together for goodies to make cards over two years ago. I got the ribbon because I thought it was pretty. Didn't know what I was gonna do with it, but I got it anyway. Now, low and behold, I finally got to use it!! LOL

Hey there,

This is for today's SCS Inspiration Challenge 175 Grandin Road. I tell you, there are several pieces I am inspired by. I think I am even going to buy a few of the pieces for my home. The one that grabbed me the most to make a card with is this one.

I love anything to do with music. I changed the trumpet to a French Horn, because it is what I played for 7 years in school.

I embossed the images with white ep on black. Then I took a paint brush and bleach to paint the stroke onto it. I popped them up with demensionals.
It is hard to tell on the pic, but the base is black on black popped up with demensionals.
It looks cool IRL.

Hello everyone,

I have not been able to do much of anything this week much less stamp or play on the computer. So today, I decided I WAS going to make a card before my day started with the family.

This is for today's SCS Limited Supplies Challenge 215 Triple Play and boy what a challenge this one was for me!!!

First, we were to use only three colors. I accomplished that. I used red, black, and white. Oh wait, I have blush for the Santna's faces so that is a color, but I am safe because I can claim my white as my neutral!!

Second, we were to use three elements, or focal points. I did that. I chose to go with a stamped image, a sentiment, and an emblishment. There was a bonus if you put three images on one panel. I think mine qualifies.

And last but not least, and this was a kicker for me, you could only have three layers not including the base. WOW!! was this ever difficult for me!! I so wanted to add a couple more layers to this. In fact, I am making this for my April's Christmas Card Challenge '09. I will be making 10 of these, but I think the other 9 will have just a few more layers!!

The images and sentiment are from High Hopes Stamps. I colored the images with Prismacolor Pencils and Odorless Mineral Spirits.

For now, this fits the challenge!!

Hello there,

Well when I came back from taking my oldest DD, Aliyah, and her BFF to Disney for her 13th birthday, I wanted to try to make a combination card of all the weeks challenges, but some how it didn't quite make it!! LOL

This was supposed to be for Tuesday's SCS Color Challenge 212 where we were to use Pink Pirouette, Chocolate Chip, Riding Hood Red. Well, I used those colors, but ended up adding blue skies and green grass to it.

Then this was also supposed to be for Wednesday's SCS Sketch Challenge 222, but I turned the inside square. I guess that still quailfies it!! LOL

As far as Thursday's SCS Ways to Use It Challenge 212 Foiled Again where we were to use anything foil on our card, I totally forgot this one!! LOL

Then finally, this was supposed to be for Friday's SCS Limited Supplies Challenge 214 where we were use use only 1 color card stock, 2 patterned papers, and 3 embelishments. Chocolate Chip was concidered a neutral. Well, I got the colored card stock. I used Pink Pirouette on my circle. My white and Chocolate Chip were neutrals!!! I got the 2 patterned papers, but I only have 2 types of emblishments.

Like I said, I fall just short of each challenge!! LOL
But hey, I thought it turned out cute anyway.

My main image is from Digital Stamp Oasis colored with Prismacolor Pencils and Odorless Mineral Spirits. I popped the pink balloons up on demensionals. I daubered the sky with Cool Carribean adding clouds with a scallop.

What do y'all think?

Hello,
I have been gone for the past week and have not been able to stamp. I took my oldest DD, Aliyah, to Disney with her BFF for her 13th birthday!! We had a blast!!
So after a day of rest, I wanted to stamp!!
This is for today's SCS Featured Stamper 113 Julie (Just Write Designs) . Awesome gallery she has!! I have several picked out I want to CASE, and I started with this one. I was wickedly inspired by this card!! When I saw this one, I was inspired to do a Halloween scene.
I changed everything except the layout of the card.
I embossed the haunted house on DP. I then cut it out on the side, inserted my nestibilities to create a frame, and daubered the edges of the frame in black. For my scene, I used the Spooky Skyline wheel with StazOn Black on Glossy White, brayered it with my spectrum pad, and used thick demensionals to pop it away from the frame.
I am behind a month on my personal challenge of making 10 of each holiday cards per month. So, this is for my March Halloween '09. I will be making 10 of these.
