Hello there,
I have been so busy with family lately, I have not been able to stamp. So, before I start my day with them, I was determined to stamp today!!
This is for today's SCS Inspiration Challenge 176 Skeem. I went with the dragon from this. All I went with was the dragon. I was happy to see something with a dragon on it because I wanted to make this box with one of Dustin Pike's dragons.
I found the box on a blog and clicked on the link to Magic-Boxes.Com for the tutorial on how to make the box.
Ok, now on to how I made this. I followed the tutorial to make the box. To make all of my panels, I used a punched out scallop. I laid the scallop on my paper, used a dauber with Bashful Blue, and daubered the top edges of the scallop onto White over and over again until I covered my entire paper. This creates the cloud look. For my dragon, I printed him out on white paper and acetate paper. I colored him with Prismacolor Pencils and Odorless Mineral Spiritson the white page. On the Acetate page, as soon as it came off the printer, I embossed him with Black EP. I made the stem and then cut the rest off around him. This way you could still see his kite string. Once this was done, I cut him and his kite from the white paper and glue it to the acetate. Now it looks like he is up in the sky!! I computer generated the sentiment, layered them up, and placed them on their acetate stems.
And Viola, there you have it!!
Everything fits inside the box and when you open it, it pops out!! It is so awesome IRL!!
What do y'all think??
