Hello,
Yeah, I took time out to stamp today!!
Since I have not been able to stamp, I combined all the challenges this week to make my card.
First, this is for Sunday's High Hopes Challenge 19 where we were to use sponging. I sponged my BG.
Second, this is for Monday's SCS Technique Challenge 209 Rubber Band Stamping where we were to use rubberbands around a block stamped with versamark to make a BG.
Third, this is for yesterday's SCS Color Challenge 207 where we were to use Summer Sun, Kiwi Kiss, and Pumpkin Pie.
And last but not least, this is for today's SCS Sketch Challenge 217.
My images are from High Hopes Stamps and they are colored with Prisma Color Pencils and Mineral Spirits. I then cut them out and popped them up on demensionals.

Hello,
Well, I told you I would make another card that would fit the challenge better and here it is.This is for today's SCS Ways To Use It Challenge 206 where we were to incorporate stripes into our cards. Mine is my BG.
I was inspired by a frame my nanny, Paola, gave me for my birthday. The picture of it is below the card.
I told Paola once I made the card, I would give it to her.

Hello there,
.
This is for today's SCS Ways To Use It Challenge 206 where we were to incorporate stripes into our card.
.
Ok, I know I am kinda cheating on this one and I know it is not Christmas, but I wanted everyone to see this. I am claiming my candy cane and straw as my stripes!! LOL
.
I just got these incredibly cute stamps from High Hopes Stamps, and I couldn't resist inking them up!! Besides, I had a dream the other night to use them on a stair step fold card. So, of course, I had to make it.
.
I colored the images with Prisma Color Pencils and Mineral Spirits. I then cut them and formed my scene. I had originally used River Rock for my beach, but thought it to dark. So, I made my beach with my pencils and mineral spirits, cut the top to make it look like a rolling sand beach, and then taped it to the River Rock. I like it better this way!!

Hello,
This is for the High Hopes Challenge 17.
It is a sketch challenge found on their blog here...
It is also for their Sunday Challenge here....
I had fun making this, but once I put it all together, I had no room for the sentiment. I hope that is ok.
The sentiment I had for it was to big so I put it on the inside.
It says 'Putting the Finishing Touches on a Day Colored with Love'.

Hello,
I am totally sick with a cold today so this will be short and sweet.
This is for today's SCS Featured Stamper 106 JulieMLacey. I chose this card to case... Happy Turkey Day
I kept the theme and layout.
I changed the colors and added layers.
I changed the sentiment.
I changed the brad placement and change it to one leaf.
I am keeping with the SCS Christmas Card Challenge '09 except this year they are only doing X-mas. I am still going to make Halloween and Thanksgiving as well.
I will be make 10 of these.

Para Nico!!
Hello,
I wanted to share this with you. It is not a card. It is just a scene made with High Hopes Stamps and an old SU! set called Sunny Season Greetings.
My nanny, Paola, has her father and brother visiting her from Argentina. They came over Thursday night to see the new house and to have dinner. After we ate, I was showing Paola my new stamps I just got in the mail from High Hopes Stamps. Her father and brother were looking on and were curious about them. You see, when I order my stamps from HHS, I get just the rubber. They wanted to know how I stamped with them. So, I got my clear block, ink, and paper. I asked Paola's brother, Nicolas, what stamp did he want me to stamp and he picked out the tropical santa. I stamped it then proceeded to create a scene with him. They were so impressed. I stamped a diffrent scene for Paola's father. I asked them if they wanted me to color the images. Her father said no, he liked it the way it was. Nicolas wanted me to color his for him. I told him the next time I saw him I would have it colored for him.
So, here it is!! I loved how it turned out so much I wanted to share it with y'all.

Hello there,
.
.
This is for today's SCS Limited Supplies Challenge 207 where to use TWO or more “things” on our card that are a “stretch” for ourselves and list them in your description.
.
1. Well, as of late, images have been ones I can color with my Prisma Color Pencils and Mineral Spirits. So, I chose to go with stamps that didn't need coloring.
2. I like lots of layers. This has only two layers not including the ornaments.
3. I also used Shimmery White paper which is something I use very rarely.
.
I got the idea of the ornament from Lovetostamp6's card here... Merry ChristmasIt is made with a Sizzix die that is ran through the Cuttlebug to add the design.
.
I made this for my February Christmas Card Challenge '09. I will be making 10 of these.

I MADE MY FIRST ARRAGEMENT!!!
Y'all are not going to believe this.
First, I have to tell you the story behind this.
Two weeks ago, my mom came down to help me go shopping for things to decorate my new home. We found a lot of beautiful things. One of the things we got accomplished was finding the pieces to set up my dining room table. First we found the glasses and we went from there to find plates, place mats, napkins, and napkin holders. Once we had all that, we went to Hobby Lobby to pick out flowers for the center piece and talk to a florist to make it for me. Heather, the florist, was great at helping us pick things out and at telling me how she was going to make the arrangement. This was on a Wed. She convinced me to wait for her to make it until the Sunday ads came out because she was sure the stem flowers were going to be 50% off. So I did. She said she would make it on Monday and I could pick it up on Tuesday. My mom gave me the money to pay for it saying it was my birthday present from her and every time I looked at it, I would think of her. I wasn't able to pick it up until Thursday. When I went in to pick it up, it wasn't done. Then for a week, I got the run around. Heather was never there. Well, come to find out, she had not come back to work since I had made the order with her and she had been fired. Yesterday, the manager told me he would have his asst. manager make my arrangement. He would have her call me today to find out what I wanted. Well, I didn't hear from her so I chose to go to HL to find out for myself what was going on. Here is where the craziness starts. First, come to find out, the asst manager doesn't know how to make arrangements. They said I was gonna have to make it myself. Now mind you, I have never done anything like this before!! I was totally freaking out. Second, they could find the flowers Heather had put aside for me. Now I was really freaking out!! I couldn't remember all of what my mom and I had picked out. I couldn't find anything. Then miraculously under the florist counter in the back were my flowers!!!!! Well, for the next 2 hours, I put together my arrangement. The manager gave me run of the store. People thought I worked there. They would ask me where things were and I actually knew where to tell them to go. Everyone would come by and check on my progress saying I was doing great. When I was done, I was totally beaming from what I had created and I wow'd the manager so much, he offered me a job!! I kindly turned him down saying I wouldn't want to do this all the time I am a stamper by trade. I couldn't believe I actually had made my arrangement!! My mom is going to be so proud of me. To top it off, I only paid $70 for it!! The manager told me retail for an arrangement like I had made would have been close to $300.00. At that time, I was glowing from the inside out head to toe!! Again, I have never attempted anything like this!! Below is a pic of my proud creation!!

Hey there,
.
Wooohooo!! I got to stamp today!!!
.
This is for today's SCS Technique Challenge 207 where we were to create a border or other page element by just cutting out part of an embossed design, patterned paper, or a stamped image, and use it as a part of your card.I have had this Spellbinder for awhile. I just hadn't figured out how to use it on a card. Today's challenge was a perfect reason to figure something out. I embossed the flowers on Pretty in Pink and Old Olive. I then cute out the pink flowers and tape them to the Old Olive. Before I taped them, I daubered over both colors to bring out the embossed part.
.
I also have had the Cuttlebug butterflies for awile too. I embossed the butterflies, daubered them with Bashful Blue, I cut them out, and then placed pink rhinestones on them for their bodies.
.
I really like how pretty this turned out!!

You know, I measured and weighed again today. I have lost 3 1/2 more inches (about 1/2 inches everywhere), but I have lost not one pound!! My girlfriend who works out with me also was measured and weighed too. Now what I find interesting is so far, I have lost a total of 22 inches and only 2 lbs, but she has lost 6lbs and only 13 inches. Now how is that possible? I was told to give myself 8 weeks and the weight should start coming off. Well, I am on my 6th week so I am going to keep going and see if what I was told is true. If it isn't, I think I am gonna cry!!! Wish me well in my journey!! Here is to hoping I will lose some weight soon!!!

Hey there,
I wasn't going to upload these, but I friend asked if I did so I am going to now.
I made these for my youngest DD to give to her classmates for Valentine's Day!! I made 14 of them.
All I did was take the card from here http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo/1195660?cat=500&ppuser=131605 and adapt it to a baggie. The box from here is what I am giving to her teacher.

I finally got to stamp again!!
Hello there,
It has been a while since I last stamped. With finishing the cleanup of our old house getting it ready for renters and my mom visiting me for a week, I have not had the time to sit and stamp. I actually got a chance to finally make a card yesterday, but I wasn't finished with it until night time. Since my camera takes horrible pictures at night in my new house, I decided to wait until today to take a good pic and upload it.
This is for yesterday's SCS's Technique Challenge 206 - Recessed Window.
All of the stamps are High Hopes Stamps. I colored my ocean bottom using the technique Black Magic. I used my Watercolor Pencils and mineral spirits on dark paper. I used Prisma Color Pencils and mineral spirits to color the diver and the oyster. I also paper toled them. I added a pearl to the oyster.
I like how it turned out.

Well, I thought I'd give you an update on my diet and exercise. Yesterday, I measured and weighed. It has been exactly one month since I have began. I measure 9 different areas when I measure and so far I have lost a total of 18 1/2 inches all over!!! The sad thing is I have only lost 2 lbs. I know it takes time for the weight to start coming off, but it sure is frustrating when you don't see your work on the scale. I do figure though if I keep up with losing the inches the way I am I will be at where I am trying to get to in about 4 months which is perfect timing for the summer!! I'll keep you posted each month. Wish me luck!!!
